Our vision is for a just housing system, where quality housing enables flourishing communities.
This vision calls for fairness, equity, and dignity in the way housing is provided and accessed. It is not just about increasing supply but about reshaping the system so that everyone, regardless of background or circumstance, has the opportunity to thrive in a place they can call home.
Our mission is to ensure every person in Aotearoa has access to secure, affordable, and healthy homes by catalysing meaningful change and driving innovation.
We do this by:

Our role with the Home Foundation Group
Home Foundation serves as the steward and backbone organisation for the wider Home Foundation group. We provide shared services – finance, marketing, operations, and governance support – which creates alignment across the group, ensures efficiency, and allows each entity to focus on its specialist area of housing impact.
At the same time, each entity works alongside external partners – iwi, councils, investors, and community organisations – to outwork the vision of the group in new and innovative ways. This balance of shared support and independent initiative means we can tackle housing challenges from multiple angles while staying united around a common purpose.
Together, we are building not just homes, but flourishing, resilient communities across Aotearoa New Zealand.
